Salinas Storm is proud to announce that we signed a contract with WORTH to outfit our teams with apparel, bats and equipment. We are excited to be one of the few girls fastpitch programs to be selected to be sponsored by WORTH..
Also in 2012, Salinas Storm and the Salinas Sports Complex has been selected to host a 2012 Premier Girls Fastpitch National Championship Qualifier on June 22nd-24th for 16U & 18HS.
For all of our 2012 Nor Cal ASA ‘A’ Pre-Qualifiers, the champion for each age group (at least 10 teams in the age group) will get their State/Metro Championships entry fee paid for.

The Storm 18Gold team has been officially accepted into the 2012 43rd Annual Colorado Fireworks on June 26th-July 1st!! Biggest recruiting tournament in the country.
Advances Skills Clinic at University of Washington
16U Storm Players - Sarah Muzik, Marisa Given & Callee Heen participate in their "Unofficial Visit/Recruiting Trip" to the University of Washington. The three Storm players participated in an Advanced Skills Clinic with UW softball staff and players and also attended the UW vs Cal football game.

18Gold Showcase of Talent
The new Salinas Storm 18 Gold team played their first showcase tournament this past weekend in Stockton California. Not knowing what to expect by the players and coaching staff the newly formed but well seasoned team played like veterans. The team had 3 wins and 2 loses for their first tourney, they could have easily been 5-0. The pitching staff was great, not allowing an extra base hit the whole weekend. On the offensive side the bats started a little slow but by Sunday they woke up and banged out 15 runs in 2 games.
The highlight of the weekend was watching the team perform there magic on defense, only allowing 4 runs the whole weekend, 2 of which were earned. The team is already playing as if they have been together for multiple seasons; ladies keep up the hard work it is already paying off.
The team would like to thank all the college coaches that were able to make it out to the fields this past weekend to watch the Gold team play. Also special Thanks to Sara Clarin (Recruiting Coordinator) and Tom Bramers (Manager) for early morning endeavors at the other ball parks to meet and invite the college coaches to come and watch the 18 gold team play. Thanks again Sara and Tom, it paid off.
Ladies the Storm Organization is proud of each and every one of you, keep up the great work.

14U finish tied for 33rd out of 103 teams at ASA Nationals in Midland, TX. Great Job Ladies!! 14U-Given won their first two pool play games against Orland Park A’s (Illinois) 2-0 & Tsunami (Florida) 14-5 and received a bye in bracket play. Storm 14U lost a heartbreaker to Fresno Force 96 by a score of 2-1. Fresno Force scored their two runs in the top of 7. Storm defeated Homer Hawks (Illinois) 4-2 and then defeated Sparks Black 4-1. Storm faced a tough St. Louis Chaos and lost 4-0.
Storm 16U - Champions of the BRATS Balls & Strikes Tourney!
Congratulation to the Storm 16U team for bringing home the trophy from the BRATS Balls & Strikes Tournament this past weekend in Stockton. The Salinas Storm beat the Salinas Wildcats 7-2 in the Championship Game. Click here to view team photo!
Salinas Storm 10U, 12U-Satow, 14U earn berths to ASA/USA NATIONALS!
CONGRATULATIONS to the 10U-Pinon, 12U-Satow and 14U-Given for earning a berth to ASA/USA Nationals this past weekend at the Nor-Cal ASA Championships! The 14s were Nor-Cal ASA Champions. The 10s & 12s both finished in 2nd place. Great job players, parents and coaches!
