Congratulations to 14U Norman on an excellent weekend of play in Hayward at the AST Top Gun tournament. The team was on fire at the plate putting up 43 runs and defense sound, ending the day 4-0. They continued their winning streak on Sunday where they found themselves in the championship game vs Millbrae Mischief. Determined to take home the trophy Norman defeated Mischief 12-3, walking away with the CHAMPIONSHIP title and 6-0 record. Great jog players and coaches!!!
Congratulations To All The Storm Players Who Made All League Teams In Their Respected High School Divisions
16U Armento wrapped up a great week in Irvine, Ca. at the "Champions Cup". The team has been extremely competitive and shown improvement every tournament this summer. During the pool play portion of the tournament Armento went 3-2 facing competitive teams. Entering bracket play on Sunday the players were on fire at the plate and held down solid defense behind Alexis Camberos who was a work horse on the mound. Alexis threw a no hitter and only allowed one run in three games. This put Storm Armento into the championship bracket on Monday where they faced off against the So Cal A's. Storm Armento jumped all over the A's scoring 6 runs and holding the A's to 0 up until the fifth inning. After the 5th the A's slowly fought their way back forcing an international tiebreaker. Unfortunately in the end the A's outscored Storm 10-7. Storm had a great tournament and ended up taking 5th place in the tournament of over 40 teams. Great job players and coaches.
