This past week the 18U Gold-Heen team participated in the the prestigious Triple Crown "Fireworks Tournament".  They competed in the power pool bracket where they played some of the best competition in the country.


As a Team 18U Gold-Heen was able to have a .309 Batting Average for the 8 games played. They received contributions from every player including Maliyah Sandin who came with a torn medial meniscus! Maliyah was extremely helpful to the coaching staff for the entire week.

Contributions included Bella Contreras coming off the bench for the teams only Sacrifice bunt during the week, KK Stone with our only Sac-Fly, Kyra Parske scoring twice while performing CR duties and the team collected 21 free passes via a Base on Balls or Hit by Pitch.

The top 3 hitters for the week were Juliana Wilson, Corrine Sargenti and Sophie Prieto.

Juliana Wilson led all hitters with a .611 average on the week, going 11x18 w/ 5 HR's and 2 doubles! 

Right behind her was Corrine Sargenti at .400(8x20 w/ a HR). 

Sophie Prieto hit .368(7x19 w/ 2 HR's) mostly from the leadoff spot.


The team hit 12 HR's for the week.



Bailey Doherty was able to pitch 22.1 innings w/ 26 K's only allowing 4 BB's. 

Jessica Stewart pitched 14.0 innings w/ 4 K's and 3 BB's with 2 HBP. 

Bella Contreras pitched 0.2 innings w/ 1 strikeout and 1 walk.
