This past weekend it all came together for Storm 14U- Sevaaetasi. They competed in the 1st and 3rd "Independence Day" PGF tournament in Stockton, Ca.  On Saturday the girls competed however it was not to their satisfaction.  They grouped together as a team to figure out a game plan to execute for Sunday.

On Sunday they came out on fire.  Their pitchers were consistent and  reliable, they stepped up their defensive game, and had timely hitting when it counted.  They were able to be present and focus one pitch and one play at a time.  Their plan worked as they won game after game. They found themselves in a competitive semi final game against Firecrackers- Macias.  It was a pitcher duel most of the game and Marley Panziera held it down on the mound and waited for her team to come up with some clutch hitting.  They were able to outscore a tough Firecrackers  team 2-0.

They were on to the championship game where they faced off against Silicon Valley Fusion.  Storm found themselves behind by 5 runs in the the 4th, however they still had fight left in them.  They were able to battle back and give the Fusion team a run for their money.  Storm had an impressive come back,  unfortunately they were one run short with a final score 7-6.  Impressive week coaches and player, this is the momentum need for a good showing at nationals in a couple weeks.
