CONGRATULATIONS to 18U Salinas Storm, CHAMPIONS of the 2021 4th of July - Colorado 18 Sparkler Open!!

Storm started off with 2 wins in pool play on Tuesday, June 29th scoring 17 runs and allowing 0 runs.

In Pool Bracket play on Thursday, July 1st, Storm won their first game 11-7 (and lost their second game to Tennessee Mojo 5-3 (a team they would face again). The lose to Tennessee Mojo gave Storm a 2nd seed going into the 1st Seed & 2nd Seed Bracket Play.

On Friday, July 2nd, Storm lost 5-3 to Firecrackers Az Noto to drop into the Loser's Bracket.

Storm won three games in the Loser's Bracket (American Thunder 12-5, Ohio Lasers 7-2, Tx Ruthless 13-3) in a row on Friday, July 2nd & Saturday, July 3rd to make it back to the Championship Bracket on Sunday, July 4th.

On Sunday, Storm won a nail bitter against Utah Eclipse (2-1), won against Miami Express (6-3), another nail bitter against Utah Nation Softball (2-1). In the Championship game, Storm avenged one of their losses against Tennessee Mojo by winning the Championship 12-7.

Lyndsey Llantero went 4-4 with a double, HR and 6 RBIs in the Championship game. The team ended the week with a 10-2 record. Great Job Players and Coaches!!
