16U Armento wrapped up a great week in Irvine, Ca. at the "Champions Cup".  The team has been extremely competitive and shown improvement every tournament this summer.  During the  pool play portion of the tournament Armento went 3-2 facing competative teams.  Entering  bracket play on Sunday the players were on fire at the plate and held down solid defense behind Alexis Camberos who was a  work horse on the mound.   Alexis threw  a no hitter and only allowed  one run in three games.  This put Armento into the championship bracket on Monday where they faced off against the So Cal A's.  Storm Armento jumped all over the A's scoring 6 runs and holding the A's to 0 up until the fifth inning.  After the 5th the A's slowly fought their  way back forcing an international tiebreaker. Unfortunately  in the end the A's outscored Storm 10-7.  Storm had a great tournament and ended up taking 5th place in the tournament of over 40 teams. Great job players and coaches.
